Blackbird

15 years since it ended. Ray’s moved on with his life. But Una has found him, and she needs answers. David Harrower’s Blackbird depicts a meeting between a middle-aged man and a young woman who rake over their relationship which ended when he was 40 and she was only twelve years old.

Described as “one of the most daring new plays of recent years” (Sunday Herald), this Olivier award-winning play has been performed across the world since it was first premiered at the 2005 Edinburgh International Festival. A new film adaptation will be released in 2016.
